Our customers often ask us about CFM suction power and why we don’t list it in our descriptions. Suction power definitely matters when it comes to finding the right range hood!

However, there’s no clear international standard for CFM. Manufacturers also use different testing environments and labs. CFM readings vary based on kitchen setup, venting, windows, and more. In fact, you could test the same range hood in the same kitchen and change an element (such as closing a window) and get a different CFM reading. That’s why we recommend selecting your range hood based on your cooking needs.

Clean modern looking design. Mediocre suction power. Loud.

The only thing I disliked about it is the suction. I installI bought this WM-639 based on the reviews from Hauslane and Amazon customers for great design and suction power. I am a handyman so installation of this wall mounted hood range is fairly easy (about 4 hrs, including cutting hole on the ceiling through the attic to the roof, relocated the AC outlet). It looks like a million bucks once installed. It gives the kitchen a modernized looks and clean. Operation is very loud on the max speed.ed my Hood Range 28 in on the top of my stove and I would said it only removed about 70% of the cooking odors while 30% of the cooking odors is escaped around in the front of the control panel of the hood range. My gas Samsung stove is positioned against the wall and the hood range is also installed against the wall. I noticed the suction area of the hood range (the grills diffuse area) is only 1/2 area of the gas stove, thus, it allows plenty of cooking odors to escape. Although the manufacturer advertising of 900 CFPM but it lacking of the efficiency to remove all the cooking odors, heats, and steams in the kitchen. My other under-cabinet-mount hood range Pacific with double fans rated at 700CFPM performs much better than this one. I guessed the design is better although it doesn't look as sleek as this WM-639.

Love this unit!

We bought this range hood to add to our remodeled kitchen. It blends well with our other appliances as I imaged. More importantly, it does the job to keep the air in our house clean and take out the smell. I had to use setting no. 3 for deep frying. It is loud, but it’s not too bad. We rarely do it, just once in a while. It is easy to clean the baffle filter, as it said in the brochure.

The hood is tastefully designed. Quality appears good. Just installed, so have not used much. Installation was easy, except that my electrician installed the receptacle right where the body of the unit sits, so I had to direct wire and reroute the cord through the unit.
